To launch the start of the new Carnival Crossroads theme "East Bound", we invite you to come along to one of our events taking place in each of our 5 communities. Whether you're an artist, a community group, school, carnival enthusiast or just looking to take part in this spectacular carnival project to celebrate London 2012 Festival, come along to hear all about it, 'sign up' and get involved.

Following the success of last year’s project, Carnival Crossroads is back with a new and exciting artistic theme “East Bound”. This project is has been chosen by LOCOG to represent the East of England’s and carnival’s contribution to London 2012 Festival.

The project moves onto Norwich on 9th July, where the Carnival Crossroads contingent will participate in the Lord Mayor's Parade.

Finally on the 20th August the 100 strong group from Southend will participate in the night time carnival that will pass along the promenade from 7.030pm - 10.00pm.

The UK Centre for Carnival Arts provides a pioneering space for the vibrant and talented UK carnival sector to raise the status of, and access to, carnival arts.
