In memory of Lincoln Rahamut

Lincoln Rahamut

We have heard the terribly sad news of the recent passing of Lincoln Rahamut, a brilliant designer who started Caribbean style costuming in Luton Carnival and was truly one of the pioneers of Luton Carnival.

Over the years he has played a big part in the development of carnival skills in Luton, presenting us with his amazing costume art and being part of our esteemed judging panel. He was a source of inspiration to Carnival artists all over the world.

He was a source of inspiration and mentor for many of those involved in Luton carnival groups.

Lincoln was a regular guest at Luton Carnival, first with his Perpetual Beauty costume band and later with Masquerade 2000.

We wish his family every strength at this time. He will be sadly missed by all in the carnival community.
