Bridgwater Carnival Day Celebration 2020

Carnival day in Bridgwater has to be different this year, but you can still enter into the spirit of carnival - wherever you are in the world.

Bridgewater Carnival, the best of the best poster

Here are a few ideas that our friends at Bridgwater Carnival 2020 have shared so you can make this a day to remember.

Dress the part on carnival day!

Bridgwater carnival day is Saturday 7th November. If you have a carnival costume hidden away in your wardrobe or loft, why not get it out and dress up on carnival day.

Add a bit of face-paint or stage make-up and you’ll be surprised how quickly you remember the joys of being part of carnival celebrations!

Whatever you do, remember to take a photo and share on social media.

Light up your life!

Bridgwater Carnival is Europe’s largest illuminated carnival - so why not get involved and display some coloured light (or lights) in your window, or around the house. The more colourful the better! And if you leave them there until Christmas, that’s two jobs done in one.

Watch Carnival from home

Get you carnival fix by watching our virtual carnival from the comfort of your armchair.

You will see the 88 best entries to have taken part in Bridgwater Carnival since 1982, as voted by carnival clubs.

The screening starts at 6pm, the same time the 2020 parade was due to start, and the parade will take 2 hours.
