Klaudia Kulakiewicz
Klaudia, a visual artist from Poland is one of UKCCA’s Associate Artists. She moved to Luton with her family when she was six years old. In 2015 she joined a local Polish group which encouraged different communities to come together to learn about their culture. Klaudia started her carnival journey when she helped the group create their 2018 Luton International Carnival parade entry and has worked with UKCCA since.
After taking a break from carnival arts during the pandemic, Klaudia has returned with a drive to learn more and develop her craft. She has been gaining experience as part of UKCCA’s artist mentoring programme, assisting with school and community workshops, and helping Tokko Youth Space make costumes for their 2022 parade entry.
Klaudia and her achievements were featured as part of the ‘Many Voices, One Town’ campaign by Luton Council in 2018.
