Pride month

Pride month is celebrated every year during the month of June. Pride month is a time for people in the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to celebrate their identities, raise awareness and peacefully protest for equality. The reason why Pride Month is in June is that it marks the month in which a police raid took place in New York in 1969, which prompted the Stonewall riots.
